Christina was born into a family of creatives. As she grew her mother nurtured her to help discover and bring out the best of her creativity. As a teenager she would draw or paint everyone and everything that stood still long enough, and carried a sketchbook with her where ever she went. She was given her first camera at the age of 8 and her first SLR at the age of 16. She fell in love with film photography, the darkroom and the beautiful gift to be able to freeze time, to capture a moment and to be able to return to that memory whenever she chose.
Nigel’s passion for photography was born from his love of world travel and exploration. At 22 years old, with just a bag on his back and a passport in his pocket he left the uk with a mission of self discovery, keeping a journal of his thoughts and taking photographs to preserve his memories. Those images, the process of seeing the moment and then preserving it for the future had an astounding effect on the person that he was developing into.
We found our art and our passion for our craft living separate lives and our desire to learn more brought us together. We met at Sunderland University thirteen years ago and became inseparable, kindred spirits. We were married almost ten years ago and are parents to two wonderful children, Charlie and Emilia.
